Peter is a two-time Capital One Academic All-America selection as a member of Marquette’s cross country and track & field teams. He is a veteran of four BIG EAST Outdoor Track & Field Championships, two BIG EAST Indoor Championships and three BIG EAST Cross Country Championships. He capped his senior cross country season by finishing as Marquette’s second finisher (38th overall) at the 2011 NCAA Great Lakes Region Championships, helping the Golden Eagles to their best regional finish in four years.
Additionally, Peter is a member of Phi Beta Kappa and the Sigma Pi Sigma national physics honor society. He earned the 2011 Weinrich Memorial Award and the 2010 Kauris Award, both as the top physics major in his class. He is president of Marquette’s physics club and has played in the Golden Eagles’ jazz band.

Chinwe completed her outstanding career in June at the 2012 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships, where she placed seventh in the shot put to earn her third career all-America accolade. She won the BIG EAST outdoor title in the shot put in 2012 to help the Cardinals to the team championship. A member of teams that won five BIG EAST championships (four outdoor, one indoor), Chinwe won Nigeria’s national championship in the shot put in 2011.
Away from the throwing circle, Chinwe is a member of Chi Alpha Sigma and the National Society of Collegiate Scholars. She is a four-time USTFCCA All-Academic selection and a member of Louisville’s Student-Athlete Advisory Committee. Her community service efforts include work the Multicultural Association of Premedical Students, where she assisted with the Ronald McDonald House and the Red Cross.
