THE GAME
Rutgers and USF have met five times prior to Wednesday night’s matchup and the Scarlet Knights hold a 4-1 series lead … USF was a 45-31 winner in the first meeting in 2005, but Rutgers has won the last four meetings … The Scarlet Knights won 30-27 in 2007, when USF was ranked No. 2 in the nation and won 31-0 last season when the Bulls were ranked No. 23 … Rutgers is 2-0 in the series at Raymond James Stadium, winning 22-20 in 2006 and 49-16 in 2008.

USF returns from a bye week on the heels of a 38-30 win at Cincinnati Oct. 22 … That result snapped a two-game slide to lift the Bulls to 4-3 overall and 1-2 in the BIG EAST … The Bulls had committed 13 turnovers in their first six games, but were turnover-free in the win against Cincinnati … QB B.J.
