Georgetown at Old Dominion Recap

NORFOLK, Va. -- Austin Freeman and Chris Wright each hit two 3-pointers in a late 13-2 run Friday night and No. 20 Georgetown held off Old Dominion for a 62-59 victory. Wright scored 19 points, Jason Clark had 18 and Freeman 17 for the Hoyas, who had lost two of their last three meetings with the Monarchs. They also trailed most of the game before their senior guards found some space from outside against Old Dominion's stifling defense. The three guards combined to score 39 of the Hoyas' 43 points in the second half. The Monarchs had a 23-game home winning streak - the nation's fourth-longest - dating to January 2009 snapped. They blew two 8-point leads in the second half, the last at 49-41. Ben Finney and Kent Bazemore led the Monarchs with 13 points each.
