A staunch defensive effort helped West Virginia beat Cincinnati 66-41 in the third game of the BIG EAST Women’s Basketball Championship presented by American Eagle Outfitters. The Mountaineers were led by sophomore Asya Bussie with 16 points, while senior Liz Repella added 15.
 
WVU held Cincinnati to just 18 points in the second half and advances to the second round on Saturday, March 5. The Mountaineers will take on #7 seed St. John’s at 6 p.m. ET.
