Syracuse advances to Friday’s semifinal round of the BIG EAST Championship, where the Orange will face No. 9-seeded Connecticut. Syracuse and Connecticut have met 12 times in the BIG EAST Championship, with the Orange holding a 7-5 record against the Huskies.
Syracuse-Connecticut will tie Syracuse-Georgetown as the most-played series in the BIG EAST Championship. Syracuse and Georgetown have played 13 times.
