Traditions
Knightro
Knightro has been the official mascot of the University of Central Florida since 1994. The character is portrayed by 3-5 students during the course of each academic year and appears at all home football and men’s and women’s basketball games. Occasionally, Knightro can be seen riding a horse around campus and he occasionally uses a custom car built by UCF engineering students called “Chariot II.”
The Trampoline
UCF plays its home football games in Bright House Networks Stadium – a $55 million state-of-the-art facility that opened in 2007. The facility has quickly earned the nickname “The Trampoline” due to the reverberation of the steel seating areas when Knights’ fans jump up and down before kickoffs. The seating capacity for Bright House Networks Stadium is 45,301.
