In the only BIG EAST game Tuesday, Marquette defeated visiting USF 67-47, which gave coach Buzz Williams his 100th career victory. Darius Johnson-Odom scored 17 points and pulled down six rebounds for the Golden Eagles. Toarlyn Fitzpatrick had 19 points and 10 boards for the Bulls who had their three-game winning streak end.
On Wednesday, Villanova plays at Louisville on ESPN. Both teams picked up road victories Saturday as they try to get back to winning records in league play.
St. John’s and West Virginia meet at Madison Square Garden on ESPN. The Red Storm will be trying to end a four-game losing streak while the Mountaineers will pull into a three-way tie for second place with Georgetown and Marquette.
Coming off Saturday’s win over No. 1-ranked Syracuse, Notre Dame travels to Seton Hall, which is 10-0 at the Prudential Center this season.
Pittsburgh is still trying to get its first conference win. The Panthers host the Providence Friars who are searching for their first BIG EAST road win this season.
Rutgers will try to bounce back from a two-point loss at Georgetown when it hosts DePaul. The Blue Demons want to end their five-game losing streak.
