USF Junior Inga Orekhova scored a career-high 25 points. She had 16 of the team’s first 21 points.

She is 10-of-23 (.435) shooting 3-pointers in the XL Center this year (Jan. 27 against UConn she went 5-of-11).

It was the sixth game this season she has had four or more 3-pointers.

At halftime, Orekhova had 21 points, Pitt had 20.

USF opened the game with a 7-1 run.

USF was 7-of-10 from 3-point range in the first half and began 0-of-8 in the second half.

USF held Pitt to just 20 points in the first half, the Bulls top defensive effort against a BIG EAST opponent this year.

With a win, USF will play No. 8 seed DePaul on Saturday at 2:30 p.m. ET.

USF won the regular-season matchup between the teams 66-63 in overtime on Jan. 17.
