With the win, Notre Dame advances to the title game of the BIG EAST tournament for the sixth time in school history and for the second straight year.

Notre Dame never trailed in the win over WVU and advances to the BIG EAST tournament final against either Connecticut or St. John’s. The Irish beat both teams during the regular-season, including the Huskies twice.

It was 30th win of the season for ND, and marked the first time in school history the Irish have had back-to-back 30-win seasons.

Senior Natalie Novosel finished with a game-high 18 points and was one of four Irish players in double figures.

It was the 750th win in program history for the Irish.

Notre Dame junior Skylar Diggins will play in the tournament final marking the fifth consecutive year the BIG EAST Player of the Year will play in the tournament final.
