REUNION, Fla. – The USF women lead the field after the second round of play at the 2012 BIG EAST Women’s Golf Championship held at The Watson Course at Reunion Resort & Club in Reunion, Fla. The Bulls hold a five-shot advantage over Notre Dame.
The Bulls moved into first place after shooting a second round score of 306 for a total of 604. Junior Amy West is tied for first place individually after shooting a 76 and a two-day total of four over-par (150). Christina Miller had the low round of the day shooting a one over-par 73 to move into a tie for third place individually. She sits one shot off the pace at five over-par for the tournament. Senior Kelli Pry and junior Shena Yang are tied for fifth place with scores of 152.
Notre Dame shot a 313 and sits in second place with a two-day score of 609. Freshman Ashley Armstrong is tied for the lead individually after shooting a five over-par 77. Senior Becca Huffer and sophomore Kristina Nhim are tied for fifth place individually.
Louisville finished the round in third place after shooting a 311. The Cardinals combined total is 623. Freshman Emily Haas is tied for third place with a score of 151 after shooting a five over-par 77.
Seton Hall sits in fourth place after shooting a 317 on day two for a total of 631. Rutgers enters the final round in fifth place after shooting a 324 for a 635 total. Cincinnati moved up to sixth place after a second round score of 324. The Bearcats have a two-day total of 642.
Georgetown is in seventh place with a score of 643 while St. John’s finished the second round in eighth place with a score of 644.
Final round action begins Tuesday at 8 a.m. Eastern.
