THE GAME
Saturday’s game will be the first meeting between Rutgers and Arkansas … The Scarlet Knights are 5-11-2 all-time against opponents from the Southeastern Conference … Rutgers has not faced an opponent from the SEC since a 37-34 win at Vanderbilt in 2004, when the Scarlet Knights erased a 20-3 deficit … The game will be the first for Arkansas against a current member of the BIG EAST.

Rutgers stands at 3-0 for the first time since 2007 after a 23-13 win at USF last Thursday in Tampa … The Scarlet Knights are one of just two teams nationally, along with Miami (Fla.) to play three road games in the month of September … Kyle Flood is the first Scarlet Knight coach since John Bateman (in 1960) to win his first three games as a head coach … RB Jawan Jamison has been the key man on offense … Jamison has rushed for at least 100 yards in four straight games, dating to last year, and leads the BIG EAST in rushing at 124.3 yards per game … Jamison is the first Rutgers player since Ray Rice  (in 2007) to turn in four straight 100-yard games … QB Gary Nova has completed 55.1 percent of his passes and has four touchdown passes against two interceptions … WR Brandon Coleman has a team-high three touchdown catches among his six total receptions … WR Tim Wright and WR Mark Harrison lead the team with 13 catches each … LB Khaseem Greene — the 2011 BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Year, leads the BIG EAST with 34 tackles to go with two sacks and four tackles for loss … CB Brandon Jones has registered two interceptions through two games and has scored touchdowns on an interception return and a blocked punt return … Rutgers’ special teams units have blocked three kicks this season … K Kyle Federico has hit four field goals, including a 52-yard attempt against USF last week.

Arkansas looks to regroup from a 52-0 loss to top-ranked Alabama Saturday that left the Razorbacks at 1-2 on the year … The Razorbacks won their season-opener, 49-24 against Jacksonville State, but fell to Louisiana-Monroe 34-31 in overtime in Week 2 … Arkansas has won 14 consecutive nonconference games in Fayetteville (the loss to Louisiana-Monroe was played in Little Rock) … The Razorbacks have averaged better than 400 yards of offense in each of the last three years, but have averaged 359.3 yards through three games this season … QB Tyler Wilson is 12-3 as Arkansas’ starter, but he missed the game against Alabama with a head injury … Wilson, an All-SEC First Team choice last year, has thrown for 563 yards and five touchdowns against one interception … RB Knile Davis has rushed for 191 yards and two TDs … WR Cobi Hamilton has at least one reception in 25 consecutive games … LB Alonzo Highsmith was an All-SEC Second Team pick last year.
