THE GAME
Friday’s game will be the ninth meeting between Pittsburgh and Connecticut and it will break a 4-4 deadlock in the rivalry, which began in 2004 … Connecticut has won three of the four meetings at Rentschler Field, including a 30-28 win in 2010 … Last year’s meeting in Pittsburgh saw the Panthers take a 35-20 victory behind a 419-yard, two-touchdown-pass effort from QB Tino Sunseri.
