PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Junior second baseman Hannah Kiyohara of Louisville was selected BIG EAST Softball Player of the Week and senior Lindsey Richardson of USF was named BIG EAST Softball Pitcher of the Week in the second weekly awards.
Kiyohara helped the Cardinals to a 4-1 week, hitting .462 with a .588 on-base percentage and .692 slugging percentage. The junior recorded six hits in 13 at-bats, driving in five runs and scoring four times. Kiyohara hit a home run against St. Bonaventure on Feb. 15 and went 3-for-4 with two runs and two RBI to give Louisville an 8-0 win. She walked four times and reached base in each of the five games.
Richardson went 2-0 in four appearances without allowing an earned run in 15.0 innings. She allowed just seven hits, two runs and struck out 24 batters. The senior allowed just one hit, one run and struck out 10 batters in 5.1 innings pitched against Coastal Carolina on Feb. 17 to help give USF the 5-1 win.

Batted .467 (7-for-15) in five games. Went 2-for-4 with two runs and two RBI in a win against Boise State.
Jackie Reed, St. John’s, 3B, Jr.
Was 3-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, three runs scored and a double in a win against East Carolina. Recorded a 1.000 slugging percentage in four games.
Veronica Grant, Syracuse, OF, Sr.
Hit .357 with a .857 slugging percentage in a 3-1 week. Went 3-for-4 with two home runs, four RBI and two runs scored in a win against College of Charleston.
