WASHINGTON, D.C. – Syracuse junior defensive midfielder Joel White has been picked as one of the five finalists for the 2010 Tewaaraton Trophy, which will be presented to the nation's top lacrosse player.
For the third consecutive year, the BIG EAST Conference tied a league record as three women's lacrosse teams were selected to compete in the 16-team, Division I NCAA Championship. Georgetown (13-5), Notre Dame (11-6) and Syracuse (13-6) all earned a berth marking the fourth time overall the BIG EAST has had three teams selected.
 The 2010 BIG EAST women's lacrosse championship began a weekend of postseason action with a banquet announcing the league's all-conference teams and major award winners on at the Hyatt Regency in New Brunswick, N.J.
