Syracuse’s JoJo Marasco was named BIG EAST Men’s Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week, while Notre Dame’s Kevin Ridgway earned BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week honors in the second week of the season.

The BIG EAST Conference has announced dates and sites for its Olympic sport championships in the 2011-12 and 2012-13 academic years. The sites were awarded by the BIG EAST Championship and Competition Committee.

Villanova University men’s lacrosse standout Brian Karalunas has been chosen as the 2010-11 American Eagle Outfitters BIG EAST Male Scholar-Athlete of the Year. The selection was made by the Conference’s Academic Affairs Committee.
