The Scholar-Athlete Sport Excellence Awards are given to one student-athlete in each BIG EAST-sponsored sport based on academic credentials, athletic accolades or performances and volunteer service to the community.
The awards are given each year to teams with APRs in the top 10 percent in their respective sports. A total of 263 schools, out of 347 Division I colleges and universities, placed at least one team on the top APR list, including 15 of the 16 BIG EAST schools.
List of winners includes eight Academic All-America selections and four NCAA Postgraduate Scholars
