 For the third consecutive year, a record number of BIG EAST women's lacrosse players (11) have been selected to the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) all-America team. The selections include three first-team performers, along with five second-team selections and three third-team picks.

For the third consecutive year, the BIG EAST Conference tied a league record as three women's lacrosse teams were selected to compete in the 16-team, Division I NCAA Championship. Georgetown (13-5), Notre Dame (11-6) and Syracuse (13-6) all earned a berth marking the fourth time overall the BIG EAST has had three teams selected.
Two familiar names were called as 2010 BIG EAST Tennis Players of the Year, as Louisville junior Austen Childs earned his second straight annual recognition, while last season's Freshman of the Year, Notre Dame sophomore Kristy Frilling, also was honored. Frilling's teammate, Irish freshman Chrissie McGaffigan, was named women's Freshman of the Year, while Mike Lampa of St. John's earned the men's honor.

After Notre Dame earned its seventh consecutive BIG EAST rowing title earlier today its coaching staff was recognized by their peers as the BIG EAST Coaching Staff of the Year.
No. 1 seed Notre Dame won its 10th women's BIG EAST Tennis Championship title after defeating No. 3 seed DePaul 4-0. The Irish earned the league's automatic berth to the NCAA Championship and will be making their 15th consecutive appearance in the national tournament and 17th overall.
The top-seeded Cardinals bested the second seed Irish 4-0 to earn the program's second men's BIG EAST Tennis Championship title. Louisville earns the league's automatic berth into the 64-team NCAA Championship, marking its seventh NCAA invite.

The Villanova women earned their first BIG EAST Indoor Track & Field Championship title in 10 years, using the day's second-to-last event to clinch the victory. With a meet-best five individual titles, the Notre Dame men's team earned a convincing victory, outscoring its closest competitor by 42.50 points.
Notre Dame is now three-for-four in diving events at the 2010 BIG EAST Swimming & Diving Championships at Trees Pool in Pittsburgh, Pa.
