For the third consecutive year, a record number of BIG EAST women's lacrosse players (11) have been selected to the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) all-America team. For the third consecutive year, the BIG EAST Conference tied a league record as three women's lacrosse teams were selected to compete in the 16-team, Division I NCAA Championship. Georgetown (13-5), Notre Dame (11-6) and Syracuse (13-6) all earned a berth marking the fourth time overall the BIG EAST has had three teams selected.

Two familiar names were called as 2010 BIG EAST Tennis Players of the Year, as Louisville junior Austen Childs earned his second straight annual recognition, while last season's Freshman of the Year, Notre Dame sophomore Kristy Frilling, also was honored. Frilling's teammate, Irish freshman Chrissie McGaffigan, was named women's Freshman of the Year, while Mike Lampa of St. John's earned the men's honor.
