No. 2 seed Louisville picked up its third-straight BIG EAST Men’s Tennis Championship title today, while No. 1 seed Notre Dame secured its fifth consecutive BIG EAST Women’s Tennis Championship crown.
Louisville senior Simon Childs was named BIG EAST Male Tennis Player of the Week, while Notre Dame senior Kristen Rafael earned BIG EAST Female Tennis Player of the Week honors.

Frilling's teammate, Irish freshman Chrissie McGaffigan, was named women's Freshman of the Year, while Mike Lampa of St. John's earned the men's honor.
The top-seeded Cardinals bested the second seed Irish 4-0 to earn the program's second men's BIG EAST Tennis Championship title. Louisville earns the league's automatic berth into the 64-team NCAA Championship, marking its seventh NCAA invite.
