The BIG EAST had five players chosen in the first round of the draft, marking the most first-round selections since seven players from the league were taken in the 2006 draft. Eight players were taken overall - the third time in four years that the BIG EAST had at least eight draft picks.

The conference schedule – which comprises 135 regular-season games – will once again yield some of the most-anticipated contests nationally in 2012-13.

The BIG EAST contingent in the Challenge will include Cincinnati, DePaul, Georgetown, Marquette, Notre Dame, Providence, Rutgers, St. John’s, Seton Hall, USF, Syracuse and Villanova.
