National championships, record winning streaks and a new member school highlight a year filled with accomplishments

For only the second time, all four teams at the Women's College Cup had been at the final four the year before. Notre Dame recovered from a 6-0 loss to North Carolina early in the season and returned to the College Cup. For his work in turning around with the Irish, Randy Waldrum is the 2009 Soccer America Women's Coach of the Year.
