The No. 4 seed Notre Dame upset No. 1 seed Georgetown 15-12 in the semifinals of the BIG EAST Women’s Lacrosse Championship.
Championship begins on May 5 at 5:30 p.m. ET at Georgetown’s Multi Sport Field.

For the third consecutive year, the BIG EAST Conference tied a league record as three women's lacrosse teams were selected to compete in the 16-team, Division I NCAA Championship. Georgetown (13-5), Notre Dame (11-6) and Syracuse (13-6) all earned a berth marking the fourth time overall the BIG EAST has had three teams selected.
