Cardinals’ varsity eight defeats No. 10 Wisconsin and Kansas State
The BIG EAST Conference – in conjunction with the Mercer County Parks and Recreation Department, the Princeton National Rowing Association and the Eastern College Athletic Conference – has announced that the 2011 BIG EAST Women’s Rowing Championship will be held May 1 on Mercer Lake in West Windsor, N.J.
The BIG EAST Conference has announced dates and sites for its Olympic sport championships in the 2011-12 and 2012-13 academic years. The sites were awarded by the BIG EAST Championship and Competition Committee.

After Notre Dame earned its seventh consecutive BIG EAST rowing title earlier today its coaching staff was recognized by their peers as the BIG EAST Coaching Staff of the Year.
The 2010 BIG EAST Rowing Championship begins this weekend in Worcester, Mass., on Lake Quinsigamond. Practice sessions begin for all teams on Saturday, April 24 with race day starting on Sunday, April 25. Notre Dame, which has won every rowing title since 2004, will look for a seventh championship crown.
