The USF softball team has punched its ticket to the Women’s College World Series for the first time in program history. The Bulls beat Hofstra by a score of 2-1 in both games of the Super Regional double header on Saturday to become one of eight teams to play in the WCWS in Oklahoma City, Okla., on May 31 – June 6.
USF dropped an 11-inning heartbreaker to Hofstra in game one of the NCAA Super Regional at the USF Softball Stadium in Tampa, Fla., losing 2-1.
Sophomore pitcher Sara Nevins of No. 24 USF has been named the Louisville Slugger Division I National Player of the Week for games played March 5-11.
