Da'Sean Butler's second game-winner in three days gave West Virginia its first Big East championship. The senior guard, who banked in a 3-pointer at the buzzer to give West Virginia a quarterfinal win, scored in the lane with 4.2 seconds left and the seventh-ranked Mountaineers beat No. 22 Georgetown 60-58 on Saturday night.

 Kalana Greene scored 15 points to help top-ranked Connecticut beat No. 9 West Virginia 60-32 on Tuesday night for its 72nd straight win in the 2010 BIG EAST women's basketball Championship presented by New York Life.

The Villanova women earned their first BIG EAST Indoor Track & Field Championship title in 10 years, using the day's second-to-last event to clinch the victory. With a meet-best five individual titles, the Notre Dame men's team earned a convincing victory, outscoring its closest competitor by 42.50 points.

The BIG EAST Conference is pleased to have the 2010 Indoor Track & Field Championship return to The New Balance Track & Field Center at The Armory in New York City for the third consecutive year. This year marks the 31st anniversary of the BIG EAST Conference and the Indoor Championships.

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – University of South Florida men’s soccer standout Francisco Aristeguieta  has been chosen as the 2009-10 BIG EAST Male Scholar-Athlete of the Year.

The BIG EAST had nine players selected in the 2010 Major League Soccer (MLS) SuperDraft, which was conducted at the annual National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Convention in Philadelphia, Pa. on Jan. 14.
