USF's Sara Nevins wins Championship's Most Outstanding Player award, hurling 22.3 scoreless innings with three wins

The USF softball team has punched its ticket to the Women’s College World Series for the first time in program history. The Bulls beat Hofstra by a score of 2-1 in both games of the Super Regional double header on Saturday to become one of eight teams to play in the WCWS in Oklahoma City, Okla., on May 31 – June 6.
USF dropped an 11-inning heartbreaker to Hofstra in game one of the NCAA Super Regional at the USF Softball Stadium in Tampa, Fla., losing 2-1.
