The BIG EAST Conference has announced repeat opponents for the league’s 15 women’s basketball teams, while also determining the home/away league schedule for the 2012-13 season

 Six BIG EAST student-athletes have been named to the Louisville Slugger/TPX All-America team as chosen by Collegiate Baseball.

 Three BIG EAST Conference players were chosen in the first round of the NFL Draft for the second consecutive year, with Rutgers offensive tackle Anthony Davis and USF defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul becoming the highest draft picks in their respective schools' histories.

For the second consecutive season, West Virginia's Jedd Gyorko was named the National Collegiate Baseball Writers of America District II Player of the Year. BIG EAST Player of the Year Joe Leonard of Pittsburgh was named District I Player of the Year for the first time in his career.

 Thirty-six BIG EAST baseball players were chosen in the 2010 Major League Baseball First-Year Player Draft with five players going in the first five rounds.

Two BIG EAST Conference standouts were among the 58 fall winners of NCAA Postgraduate Scholarships, which recognize student-athletes across all three NCAA divisions who excel academically and athletically.
