I'm a Rutgers fan not only because it's my alma mater, but because I've watched their sports teams change and rebrand themselves over the years.  Back when I was a freshman, the Rutgers football team would be lucky if there were 200 people in the stands.  Then, through new coaching and a powerful tenacity, the team changed the way fans saw Rutgers...as did the way our competition began to. All of this cultivated into a pride for all Rutgers teams by fans nationwide.  I LOVE that I was a part of that fan base growth.
