DePaul (3-4) got 31 points from freshman Brandon Young as the Blue Demons defeated Central Michigan 71-62 in the lone BIG EAST game on Sunday. DePaul overcame a 14-point first-half deficit, forcing the Chippewas into 28 turnovers including 17 in the second half. Trailing by six midway through the second frame, Young took over, hitting two 3’s and setting up Jimmy Drew for a layup to give DePaul a 50-48 lead. Young was 6-of-6 from three and 7-of-10 from the free-throw line. The Blue Demons outscored Central Michigan 47-26 in the second half.
Only one BIG EAST game is on the schedule for Monday night, as Providence hosts Brown at 7 p.m. ET.
