After leading his team to a 3-0 record last week, Georgetown junior outfielder Rand Ravnaas earned BIG EAST Baseball Player of the Week for the second straight week. USF senior Kyle Eastham earned BIG EAST Pitcher of the Week honors.
Ravnaas earns back-to-back Player of the Week awards after batting .571 in a 3-0 week for Georgetown. The junior finished 8-for-14 with six RBI and six runs scored last week. Ravnaas also belted two home runs while slugging 1.143. He had three hits in wins over George Washington and Maine, along with a two-hit performance against Penn.
Eastham earns Pitcher of the Week honors after tossing seven shutout innings to notch the win against Florida A&M. The Bulls went on to sweep Florida A&M and are riding a five-game winning streak. Eastham struck out a career-high 11 batters without issuing a walk while scattering four singles in a 6-0 victory. It was the senior’s first start since 2008.
