Villanova junior Brian Colbert earned BIG EAST Men’s Golfer of the Week for the week ending March 6 after finishing eighth at the USF Invitational March 4-6 at the Lake Jovita Country Club South Course in Dade City, Fla.

Colbert fired rounds of 70, 68 and 73 for a three-round total of 211 (-5). The junior notched his team-leading fourth top-ten finish this season and was just six shots behind individual champion Hunter Green of Middle Tennessee State. Colbert led Villanova to an eighth-place finish, which was the highest among the six competing BIG EAST teams. He was also the highest finishing individual from a BIG EAST squad.

The next BIG EAST Golfer of the Week release will be on March 16. The first women's golfer of the week will be announced at that time.
