Georgetown won at DePaul 83-75 in the only game on Tuesday. Guard Jason Clark poured in a career-high 31 points on 11-of-14 shooting from the field. The Hoyas are 3-1 on the road in BIG EAST play. Cleveland Melvin led DePaul with 19 points and six rebounds.
Wednesday’s slate has three league contests and one in-state rivalry game. Cincinnati plays at Connecticut on ESPN2 at 7 p.m. Both teams have won their last two contests. This season, UC is 4-1 on the road. The Huskies are 10-0 at home.
ESPNU is carrying Seton Hall at Villanova, also at 7 p.m. The Pirates are 4-2 in league play while the Wildcats are tyring to climb back from a 1-5 BIG EAST start.
USF will try to build some momentum after Friday’s win over Seton Hall when it hosts St. John’s. The Bulls have played on multiple home courts this season, but have compiled a 9-1 record at those venues. The remainder of their home schedule will be played at the Tampa Bay Times Forum. The Red Storm will be trying to end a two-game losing streak.
West Virginia has its annual battle against Marshall in Charleston. The Mountaineers want to bounce back from last year’s 75-71 defeat.
