Georgetown on a Roll
The No. 20/18 Hoyas have won three of their last four games and will face No. 11/12 Rutgers at home on Sunday, Jan. 29 at 1:30 p.m. ET. The game will be televised live on ESPNU. Eighth-year head coach Terri Williams-Flournoy picked up her first win at West Virginia on Jan. 24 and her first win against Marquette on Jan. 17.
Notre Dame Notables
The Fighting Irish are 6-1 against ranked opponents this season, including a 4-1 mark against top-10 teams. No. 2/2 Notre Dame handed No. 7/9 Tennessee a 72-44 loss on Jan. 24. The 44 points were the Vols’ second lowest output ever and the lowest in 36 years.
Scarlet Knights RACking up Home Wins
No. 11/12 Rutgers defeated No. 23/22 DePaul 65-64 on Jan. 24, with senior Khadijah Rushdan netting the game-winning shot. With the win, RU recorded its 10th home victory of the season, the 10th-straight season that the Scarlet Knights have won at least 10 home games. Rutgers overcame its largest deficit of the season to defeat the Blue Demons, largely because of the play of Rushdan, who is averaging 8.7 points per game in the final five minutes of play in the last three games.
