SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Syracuse women’s lacrosse (16-2) will face Loyola (12-5) on Saturday at 1 p.m. ET for the BIG EAST Championship at the Carrier Dome in Syracuse, N.Y. The game will be televised live on the CBS Sports Network.
The No. 1 seed Orange, who are riding a program-record 15-game winning streak, advanced to the title game following a 7-6 victory over Georgetown in the semifinals. No. 2 seed Loyola advanced to the title game following an 11-9 win over Notre Dame.
Syracuse is looking for its third BIG EAST tournament crown and first since 2008, while Loyola defends its 2011 tournament title.
Loyola-Syracuse Series History – Syracuse leads the all-time series 7-4, including a 13-12 win earlier this season. The last three games have been decided by three goals total. In fact, eight of the 11 games have been decided by four goals or less.

The squads met twice last year, splitting the meetings. The Orange defeated the Greyhounds on their home field in the last weekend of the 2011 regular season, 10-9. The teams met again in the semifinals of the BIG EAST Tournament. Loyola held off a second-half Syracuse comeback attempt and recorded a 12-11 victory. Earlier this year, SU held a 13-7 lead with 16:50 left and held on for a 13-12 win.
