PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Two women’s soccer teams remain unbeaten, Georgetown and Louisville. The Hoyas were in action on Monday and picked up their sixth win of the season following a 3-0 victory over Columbia. A complete recap can be found here. Georgetown also moved up to No. 19 in the NSCAA national poll.
Earlier in the weekend, Georgetown head coach Dave Nolan recorded his 100th career win. The Hoyas hold a 6-0-0 record for the second time in three years. Georgetown heads to California this weekend to take on No. 24/16 Santa Clara on Sept. 7 and No. 4/5 Stanford on Sept. 9.
Seton Hall (5-1-0) posted its first loss of the year 1-0 at Army on Monday evening. A complete recap can be found here. Seton Hall returns to the pitch on Sept. 7, against LaSalle in their first of two games at the Villanova Tournament. The Pirates take on William & Mary on Sept. 9.
Marquette (3-0-1) recorded its fourth consecutive shutout in a 0-0 draw against Central Michigan on Monday as well. A complete recap can be found here.
The Golden Eagles play their next three contests on the road, beginning on Sept. 7. MU heads to Durham, N.C. for the Duke/Nike Challenge and face No. 19/14 North Carolina, before facing No. 6/4 Duke on Sept. 9.
