MONDAY’S RECAP – Providence (8-5-1, 3-3-0 BIG EAST) posted a 1-0 conference win over DePaul (7-6-1, 2-3-0 BIG EAST) on Monday afternoon in the Ocean State. The game was postponed from Sunday. Freshman Lauren Elia accounted for the gamewinner in the 73^rd minute as the Friars evened their record in the league standings. A complete recap can be found here.

STAT LEADER – With her performance last Sunday of 11 points, including five goals, BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week Daphne Corboz moved among the leaders of numerous NCAA categories. She leads the nation in scoring (14 goals), ranks second in points (33) and third in points per game (2.54). The sophomore also ranks sixth in goals per game (1.1) and 11^th in gamewinning goals (4). Corboz’s performance remains as the top single-game effort this season. As a team the Hoyas rank seventh in scoring (3.0 goals per game) and shutout percentage (0.69).

NATIONAL POLLS – Georgetown moved up to No. 11 in the NSCAA poll released on Oct. 2, its highest ranking in school history. The Hoyas are one of three league teams in the national poll, along with Marquette at No. 20 and Notre Dame at No. 24.

TV TIME – In a clash of National Division powers, Louisville (7-3-2) hosts No. 14/11 Georgetown (11-1-1) on Sunday. The game will be broadcast on the CBS Sports Network. The Cardinals lead the all-time series 4-3-0 and won last year’s meeting 2-1 in double-overtime in Washington, D.C. Christine Exeter scored both goals for the Cards.
