Providence beat Vermont 4-2 on Oct. 8 in Burlington, Vt. The Friars (6-6, 1-2) snapped a four-game losing streak against the Catamounts. Junior Caitlin Malone scored two goals; sophomores Henni Tietze and Steph Guglielmo recorded a goal apiece. Sophomore Kaleigh Fitzpatrick added one assist.
CONNECTICUT AND SYRACUSE STILL ROLLING
No. 3 Connecticut and No. 1 Syracuse remain undefeated with three weeks left in the regular season. The Huskies have reached 13-0 for the second time in school history. Connecticut also has won 11 consecutive regular season league games, dating back to the 2010 season.
Syracuse is 12-0 for the second time in program history. The Orange went 14-0 in 2008 on their way to a national semifinal appearance.
RUTGERS PICKS UP FIRST LEAGUE WIN AGAINST GEORGETOWN
Junior forward Lisa Patrone led the Scarlet Knights over Georgetown 5-1 in College Park, Md., on Oct. 5. Patrone scored three goals in the victory, making her the leader in goals (8) and points (19) for Rutgers.

Syracuse goalie Leann Stiver picked up her fifth-straight shutout with a 3-0 win over Providence on Oct. 6. The senior has not allowed a goal since Sept. 16.

Louisville downed No. 11 Iowa at Trager Stadium 2-1 on Oct. 7. Freshman Victoria Stratton scored the gamewinner for the Cardinals.
