Temple is 2-0 in BIG EAST play for the first time in league history after last week’s 17-14 overtime win at Connecticut … Coupled with a 37-28 win against USF Oct. 6, the Owls have won consecutive BIG EAST games for the first time … The Owls rank eighth in the BIG EAST in total offense, averaging 309.2 yards per game, but are fourth in the league in scoring (27.0 ppg) … Temple ranks second in the BIG EAST in rushing at 176.8 yards per game … RB Montel Harris has turned in back-to-back 100-yard games and is averaging 77.5 rushing yards per game … QB Chris Coyer has rushed for 302 yards and two TDs and has thrown six touchdown passes … LB Trevor Matakevitch made 15 tackles against USF is his first career start and followed that effort with 19 tackles against Connecticut — the most by a BIG EAST player in a game this season … K/P Brandon McManus has made 8 of 10 field goal attempts and is the team’s leading scorer with 39 points … McManus also leads the conference in punting at 44.9 yards per punt.
