Saturday’s game is the 10th meeting between Temple and Army … The teams have met each year since 2007 after playing four times between 1943 and 1994 … Temple has a 5-4 series lead after last year’s 42-14 win in Philadelphia … Army’s last win in the series was a 37-21 decision in 2007 at Michie Stadium … Temple has won four straight in the series, including its last two trips to West Point.

Army plays the second of back-to-back games against BIG EAST opponents after the Black Knights dropped a 28-7 decision at Rutgers last week … Army played Rutgers to a 7-7 tie through three quarters before allowing 21 points in the fourth period  … Two weeks ago, the Black Knights snapped a 13-game losing streak, dating to 2005, in the annual Commander In Chief’s Trophy series against Air Force and Navy with a 41-21 win against Air Force …  Army’s triple-option offense leads the nation in rushing … The Black Knights average 366.1 rushing yards per game … Conversely, Army is 119th nationally in passing, averaging just 66.1 yards per game … QB Trent Steelman is ranked 32nd among individual players in rushing at 101.3 yards per game … Steelman tied a program record for consecutive 100-yard performances after his fourth straight triple-figure effort against Rutgers last week …  Steelman has rushed for 1,013 yards and 13 touchdowns.
