WBB Minute – BIG EAST Teams Rolling Along

Five BIG EAST teams are in action on Sunday, led by Marquette (2-1) at No. rv/24 Texas A&M at 2:30 p.m. ET. The Golden Eagles will be facing the Aggies for the first time in school history.

 

Elsewhere, Cincinnati (2-1) hosts the College of Charleston, Rutgers (2-1) hosts Davidson and St. John’s (3-1) is at Hartford. All three games begin at 2 p.m. The Red Storm game will be televised locally in Connecticut on CPTV.

 

Villanova (3-1) plays against Montana in the UNLV Lady Rebel Round-Up in Las Vegas, Nev., at 6:30 p.m. The Wildcats beat Bowling Green 53-42 on Saturday and will play for the tournament title.

 

In action over the past few days, the league has posted some impressive wins over ranked teams as No. 5/5 Notre Dame (4-0) won at No. 19/22 UCLA 76-64 on Friday and No. 2/2 UConn (5-0) beat No. 14/12 Purdue 91-57 on Saturday. The BIG EAST is a combined 54-18 this year for a .750 win percentage.
