UConn, also 4-1, plays Stony Brook at Gampel Paviion. Syracuse will try to extend its 23-game Carrier Dome winning streak when it hosts Colgate.
Villanova hops on a bus to battle Philadelphia Big 5 foe La Salle. Rutgers has a longer trip, playing UNC-Greensboro.
BIG EAST teams went 4-1 Saturday, which included Cincinnati capturing the crown in the Global Sports Challenge in Las Vegas. The Bearcats beat Oregon 77-66 in the final. Guard Cashmere Wright led four players in double figures with 17 points.
Louisville also had advanced to the championship game of a tournament, the Battle 4 Atlantis in the Bahamas. Playing without center Gorgui Dieng, who has a left wrist injury, the Cardinals lost to No. 5 Duke 76-71. Louisville got 36 points from its starting backcourt, Peyton Siva (19) and Russ Smith (17).
Georgetown, Notre Dame and St. John’s notched homecourt victories. The Hoyas stopped Mount St. Mary’s 72-50 with Otto Porter and Greg Whittington contributing 17 points each. The Fighting Irish received 13-point efforts from Jack Cooley, Eric Atkins and freshman Cameron Biedscheid in their 69-52 win against Saint Francis (Pa.). The Red Storm knocked off Florida Gulf Coast 79-68 in Carnesecca Arena. D’Angelo Harrison led the way with 20 points.
