THE GAME
Saturday’s game will be the 10th meeting between Pittsburgh and USF in a series that dates to the 2001 season … The Panthers have gone 6-3 against the Bulls and have won four straight in the series … Last year’s meeting saw Pittsburgh outscore the Bulls by a 24-0 margin in the second half on its way to a 44-17 win at Heinz Field as RB Ray Graham rushed for 226 yards and two touchdowns … USF’s last win in the season was in 2007 (48-37 in Pittsburgh) … The Panthers have won in their last two trips to Tampa.

Pittsburgh put itself on the cusp of bowl eligibility with a 27-6 win against No. 21/19 Rutgers last Saturday … The Panthers would become bowl eligible for the fifth consecutive year if they beat USF this week  … After committing seven turnovers in its first five games, Pittsburgh has just one turnover in its last six … Pittsburgh’s eight giveaways are the fewest of any team in the nation … QB Tino Sunseri has thrown 245 consecutive passes without an interception — the longest active streak in the nation … Sunseri ranks second in the BIG EAST and 20th nationally with a 154.56 pass efficiency rating … Sunseri has thrown for 2,892 yards and 18 touchdowns with just two interceptions … WR Devin Street is second in the BIG EAST in receptions (5.5 per game) and receiving yards (74.5 ypg) … RB Ray Graham is fourth in the BIG EAST in rushing (86.2 ypg) and has nine rushing touchdowns … Graham is the active BIG EAST career leader in total touchdowns (34) and rushing TDs (30) and ranks third on Pitt’s career rushing chart with 3,177 career yards … DE Aaron Donald leads the defense with 14.5 tackles for loss, good for third in the BIG EAST, and 4.5 sacks.

The Bulls look to close the season on a positive note after losing two straight and eight of their last nine … USF has been plagued by the injury bug … Regular starting QB B.J.
