BIG EAST teams earned a split at the Jimmy V Classic at Madison Square Garden Tuesday as Georgetown scored a comfortable win against Texas in the opener and Connecticut dropped a four-point decision to No. 25/24 North Carolina State in the nightcap.
Seton Hall improved to 5-0 at home with a win against NJIT, while No. 5/6 Louisville picked up a road win against College of Charleston. St. John’s was unable to get a victory on the West Coast as the Red Storm fell to San Francisco.
Wednesday’s ledger lists four games for BIG EAST teams, including three local rivalries.
Pittsburgh meets Duquesne at 7 p.m. ET on ESPN3 in a neutral-site game at the Consol Energy Center. DePaul makes the short road trip to Chicago State, while Villanova receives a visit from Philadelphia neighbor Temple on ESPN2.
USF makes its first venture outside the state of Florida as the Bulls visit No. 23/22 Oklahoma State at 9 p.m. ET on ESPNU.
