The BIG EAST winning streak continues.
Providence and USF both scored nonconference wins Tuesday, extending the collective winning streak by BIG EAST teams to 37 games. All 15 teams in the league have contributed to the streak, which began Dec. 6.
The streak should be tested Wednesday night with six games on tap. ESPN2 has the annual Crosstown Classic matchup between No. 11 Cincinnati and Xavier at Fifth Third Arena as the Bearcats put their 10-0 record on the line against the 7-2 Musketeers.
Wednesday’s schedule also includes a notable game at the KFC Yum! Center as No. 5/4 Louisville hosts Florida International. Cardinals coach Rick Pitino will face his son, Richard, who is in his first year as coach of the Golden Panthers.
No. 22 Notre Dame goes for its ninth straight win as the Irish host Kennesaw State, while Pittsburgh takes a six-game winning streak into its game against Delaware State. Seton Hall has won three straight entering its game against Longwood at the Prudential Center.
Marquette takes to the road in search of its third straight win as the Golden Eagles visit Green Bay.
