Eight BIG EAST teams are in action Wednesday, including three top-25 squads that take to the road in search of league wins.
No. 17/17 Cincinnati brings a 6-3 BIG EAST record, and a 4-1 mark in conference road games, to Providence, which looks for its first back-to-back BIG EAST wins of the year (7 p.m., BIG EAST Network and SNY).
No. 24 Marquette looks to reclaim a share of first place in the BIG EAST as the Golden Eagles head to Tampa, Fla., to take on USF (7 p.m., ESPN2).
Connecticut, which has won its last three BIG EAST games, sits in seventh place in the standings entering tonight’s game against St. John’s at Madison Square Garden (7 p.m., ESPNU). But if things play out a certain way, the Huskies could move into a tie for second with a win. The Red Storm, meanwhile, had won five straight conference games prior to last Saturday’s setback at Georgetown.
No. 11/12 Louisville, which has bounced back from a three-game slide with back-to-back wins, heads to Rutgers for a 7:30 p.m. tip on the BIG EAST Network. The Scarlet Knights, who have been tough at home this year, look to snap a four-game losing streak.
