Marquette, which entered Tuesday as one of three teams tied for the lead in the BIG EAST race, broke open a game that was tied at halftime to take a 67-46 win against Seton Hall. That result put the Golden Eagles alone in first place at 10-3 in BIG EAST play.
Syracuse and Georgetown could make it a three-way tie again, however, if both win their Wednesday-night matchups. The Orange host Providence, which has won its last four BIG EAST games, at 7 p.m. on ESPN2, while the Hoyas take on DePaul at 7 p.m. on the BIG EAST Network.
