PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The BIG EAST Women’s Basketball Championship presented by American Eagle Outfitters is introducing Chalk Talk, an event debuting for the second-straight year at the 2013 tournament. Well-respected panelists from around the women’s basketball game will headline the event, which runs from 4-5:30 p.m. on Monday, March 11, prior to the semifinals of the tournament. The event is private with attendees limited to those who have won tickets.
The panelists will discuss the state of women’s basketball, as well as participate in a question and answer session. Presenting this inaugural event will be a combination of informed and influential panelists who have helped to shape and grow the game: Anucha Browne, NCAA Vice President of Women’s Basketball Championships; Anne Donovan, Connecticut Sun Head Coach; Ilene Hauser, Nike Sports Marketing, Manager Women’s Pro Basketball; Gail Marks, All American Red Heads, a Hall of Fame inductee; Marynell Meadors, Assistant Olympic Coach and former Atlanta Dream Head Coach and GM.

The Championship, returning to Hartford, Conn., for the 10th straight year, will be played at the XL Center March 8-12, 2013. All 15 BIG EAST teams are invited to battle for the conference’s automatic NCAA tournament bid. Package tickets to all 14 games of the championship will remain priced at $99.00 each, discounted by nearly one half of the face value. Ticket offices at all 15 BIG EAST institutions have had all-session packages on sale for several weeks.
