BIG EAST Lands Six WBCA All-America Selections

SAN ANTONIO, Texas - Six BIG EAST women's basketball players have been named to the State Farm WBCA Coaches' All-America Team, including two first-team selections. UConn senior center Tina Charles along with junior teammate Maya Moore, headline the First Team and earn the recognition for the second straight year.

The 10-member team is decided from a group of 40 finalists picked by the selection committee at an in-person meeting at the 2010 WBCA National Convention held in conjunction with the Final Four.

Four additional BIG EAST players were named Honorable Mention selections, including UConn senior guard Kalana Greene. Notre Dame senior guard/forward Lindsay Schrader along with freshman guard and teammate Skylar Diggins also were named Honorable Mention picks. St. John's sophomore forward Da'Shena Stevens rounds out the BIG EAST contingent.
